HERMAN TERRELL DaVIS

Herman Terrell DaVis (“Terry”) passed away surrounded by the love of family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of service, strength, and devotion. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Terry served his country honorably during the Vietnam War as a Black Beret, carrying his sense of duty and patriotism with pride throughout his life.

Above all else, Terry, son of Herman Terrell Davis and Bernadine Rosalie Davis, was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished every moment spent with his family. He is survived by his sisters, Jean Davis-James and Yolanda Bates (Leon); his sons, Troy Davis and Shawn DaVis (Christine); his beloved grandchildren, Alyssa, Danielle, Troy Jr., Jacob (Kaitlyn), and Peyton (George); and his treasured great-grandchildren, Ella, Maria, Bentley, and Stella. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Bernadine Bell (Albert), Faye Barbee (Milton), and Mark Davis (Essie).

Terry had a deep love for golf, music, and the many friendships and extended family relationships that enriched his life. Whether on the golf course, enjoying music, or gathered with loved ones sharing stories and laughter, he brought warmth, humor, and wisdom to those around him.

He will be remembered for his unwavering love of family, his proud military service, and the kindness and joy he shared so freely with others. Terry’s presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
