Devoted grandfather of Kelly Barr (Joe), Sarah Candow (Joe), Michelle Toth (Steve), Maureen Ellis, John Babington, Meg and Madeline Forrey, Chris Forrey (deceased), Kate Wojdowski (Alex), Conor, Mary, Michael and Christopher Mathews and Samantha, Elizabeth and Aidan Forrey. Great-grandfather of seven. Son of the late Anne (nee Gallagher) and Hugh A. Forrey. Dear brother of Ursula Patton (James V.) (both deceased), Mary Molnar (deceased), Nancy Brennan (John) (both deceased), John "Jack" Forrey (Kathy) (Kay, deceased), Terry Forrey (deceased), Marguerite, and Patricia Gannon (deceased) (Robert). Beloved uncle and great-uncle of many. Attended St. Ignatius HS, John Carroll University and Cleveland State University. U.S. Army veteran – Korea. Served as Lieutenant of the Cleveland Police Department and retired from the Cleveland Board of Education. Longtime member of the Retired Irish Police Society (RIPS). Passed away January 28, 2019. Funeral Mass Saturday, February 2, St. Bernadette Catholic Church (2256 Clague Rd., Westlake) at 10 A.M. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery (Avon).
