JAYNE VEHONSKY (nee Short) age 89. Loving mother of Michael (Mary Ann), Karen (Gil) and Carol (Thomas). Cherished Grandma, Grams, and G-ma of Bryan (Kailen), Dana (Warren), David and Evan. Doting Great Grammie of Brecken. Aunt of many nieces and nephews . Wife of the late Paul Vehonsky.  Also preceded by parents Norman and Ilene Short, and brother Edward Short. Jayne was recognized in 2018 as one of the "Best of Brook Park" for her volunteer service at Southwest General Health Center, a job she dearly loved. Independent and young at heart, she loved to be on the move – either driving the golf cart through the hallways at SWGHC or at her previous job at Enterprise Rental Car. Well liked and definitely a people person, Jayne was always ready with a smile and conversation. Passed away peacefully December 19, 2020. Private interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Celebration of Jayne's life to be scheduled at a later date. Family requests that memorial contributions be forwarded to Ames House at Hospice of the Western Reserve.
