IRENE CECELIA TROXIL, 96, of Westlake, Ohio passed away on September 4, 2025. She was born on January 11, 1929, in Cambridge, Ohio, daughter of the late Andrew Fotta and Anne (Mesarch) Fotta.

She was a retired 23-year employee of Carpenter Steel, where she served as an administrative assistant.

She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Angels Church where she was also a member of the Women's Guild, Women's Bowling league, and the Women's Golf League where she often finished in 1st place. She shared her passion for the game with her husband, children, grandchildren, and godchildren. She loved to take them to play putt putt and to the driving range.

In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death too early in life by her husband, William. Also deceased, are her sisters, Catherine Motil, Ann Polasky, Margaret Fotta Josephine Parker, and Mary Goffos; brothers Andrew and John Fotta, stepsisters; Mary Pilck, Pauline Goffos, Helen Grywalski, and Margie Holod; stepbrothers; George, John, Milan and Edward Vahala.

She is survived by her son, William Troxil (Kathryn) of Avon, daughter Dianne Davis (Keith) of Worthington; "Affectionately known as "Taco" to her 5 grandchildren; Will, (Liz), and Ryan Troxil, and Brett, Chad, and Lauren Davis; "Known as GiGi" to her 2 precious great grandchildren; Nolan and Dempsey Troxil; and 2 sisters; Helen Dollison (Charles) of Ventura CA., and Betty George (James) of Cambridge OH.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for her Funeral Mass, MONDAY, September 22 , Our Lady of Angels Church at 11 A.M., Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Link to livestream: olangels.org
