JACOB ADAM WORTHINGTON, 30, of North Olmsted, Ohio, unexpectedly passed away on June 20, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him most due to a longstanding heart condition.
Jacob lived a life characterized by dedication, perseverance, loyalty, and love. He was a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle, friend, and pharmacist whose impact on others will be felt for generations.
From age three, wrestling became one of Jacob's greatest passions. His dedication to the sport supported a remarkable athletic career, earning recognition as a three-time state placer and the opportunity to compete at Cleveland State University. The lessons he learned-discipline, resilience, and heart-shaped the man he became and inspired numerous teammates, coaches, and friends.
Jacob's determination extended well beyond sports. He was immensely proud to earn his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University {NEOMED), a goal he pursued with unwavering commitment. As a pharmacist at University Hospitals, Jacob found purpose in caring for others and took great pride in serving his patients and community.
While Jacob achieved much in life, his greatest joy came from the people he loved. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Josephyne Worthington, and treasured every moment with his family. Whether hunting, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, enjoying baseball, sharing stories, or simply spending time with loved ones, Jacob's presence brought warmth, laughter, and comfort.
Jacob is survived by his wife, Josephyne Worthington; his parents, Mary and Glenn Worthington; his brother, John {Samantha) Worthington; his sisters, Leah {Maison) Jackson, and Libby {Keegan) Sims. He was a proud uncle to his nephew Cameron and his nieces, Raya, Addison, and Nyla. Jacob was also a dog dad to Bennett and Ida. He is survived by his parents-in-law, Dave and Jess Salesky; his brothers-in-law, Mack, Ben, and Adam Salesky; his grandparents, Carl and Carolyn Worthington, Jean and Don DiSantis, and Janet Salesky; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, coworkers, teammates, and others whose lives he touched.
Jacob was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Karen Clemens; his beloved Aunt Anna; and his grandfather-in-law, Paul Salesky.
To know Jacob was to know loyalty, kindness, and strength. He was the friend who showed up without being asked, the teammate who lifted others, the family member who loved fiercely, and the husband who gave his whole heart. His infectious smile, quick wit, generous spirit, and unwavering support made everyone feel valued and loved.
Though his time here was far too short, Jacob filled his 30years with purpose, achievements, and extraordinary love. His legacy lives on in the family he treasured, the friendships he fostered, the patients he cared for, and the countless memories shared by those fortunate enough to know him.
Jacob will be deeply missed and forever remembered. His life wasa gift, his love unwavering, and his memory will remain in our hearts always.
Jacob's generous spirit went beyond his lifetime. As an organ donor through Lifebanc, his final act was a remarkable display of compassion, offering the gift of life and hope to others. His legacy of selflessness and love will live on through those he helped.
