JAMES J. GREEN, "Mr. Green," age 72, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2018 following a brief illness. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 38 years, Sue (nee Nageotte) and his devoted children, Jami Szafarski (Dave), James Jr. (Diane), Danny (Donald Resseguie), and Holly Swiger. He was the always fun-loving and affectionate Poppy to Jake, Drew and Nick Szafarski and Austin and Anna Green. Dear brother of Ellen Taylor (Hugh, deceased) and Rosemary Brown (Richard) and the late Geraldine Suchocki (Chester), Doris Kelley (Leo), Mamie Pranckunas (Joe) and Theresa. He was a loving uncle, great-uncle, great-great uncle and cousin to many. He will fondly be remembered for his kind heart, gentle nature and especially the Magic Bag trick. Jim was very proud of his association with the Red Cross, having donated more than 120 pints of blood, saving countless lives. Jim's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, whether it be the annual birthday water balloon fight, trips to Amish Country, Disney World or attending countless hockey games over the past 22 years. He was an avid Indians, Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He tried the sport of fishing 17 years ago and it became a favorite pastime. Funeral Mass Saturday, December 1, St. Martin of Tours Church (1800 Station Rd., Valley City) at 12:30 P.M. Interment Chestnut Grove Cemetery (Olmsted Falls).
