JAMES ANDREW HARLEY, of Kent, Ohio, passed away suddenly on January 22, 2019 at the age of 77. Jim was born on October 19, 1941 in Thessaloniki, Greece. He immigrated to New York City as a young boy with his parents and two brothers during World War II. Jim was a teacher, a chemist, a health inspector, a novelist, a charismatic storyteller, a world traveler, an amateur botanist, a Shih Tzu lover, and an avid Nintendo player. Above all, he was a loving and devoted family man. Jim is survived by his wife of 50 years, Wilma; his daughter, Dr. Robin Harley; and his sons, Bruce, Brian, and Jason Harley. He is preceded in death by his son, Richard Harley. At Jim's request, no services will be held. Instead, please continue to keep the family in your thoughts.
