JEAN M. KOPLAN

Jean Marie Koplan (nee Cubic), age 72, passed away on August 12th, 2026. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Lisa, and son, Steven, and husband, Stanley. Dear sister of Marcia Jurcsisn (David), Mary Beth Basalla (Tom), Marilyn Emsley (Brian), James Cubic, and John Cubic (Donna) and the late Ellen Cubic and Janet Sima. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Jean was raised on the west side of Cleveland, the fifth of eight children of the late George and Madeline Cubic (Staron). She graduated from John Marshall High School in 1972. For 29 years, she had her dream job of being an Office Manager at Hill ‘n Dale Club in Medina. She will be remembered most for her fun, adventurous spirit, generosity, and witty sense of humor. She loved being out in nature and hiking, the beach, kayaking, vacationing in Florida with her daughter, yoga, watching nature shows, and jigsaw puzzles. Jean fought a courageous health battle for almost 2 years. She is now in the warm embrace of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 20th, from 5-7 P.M., at Heartland Community Church (3400 Weymouth Rd., Medina) with a Celebration of Life Service on Friday, August 21st, at 11 A.M. at Heartland Community Church. Interment Spring Grove Cemetery, Medina.
