JEAN SAMENUK (nee Konecsni), age 89, passed away peacefully at home on December 3, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Paul Samenuk, now together forever; dear sister to 12; and cherished mother of Michael (Peggy, deceased), George (deceased; Ann), Paul (Vicky), Jim (Leslie), Stephen (Jeanne), Edward (Joanna), Linda (John) Parkowski, David (Karen), and John (Erin).  Jean treasured her time with her grandchildren Michael (Heather), John, Anna (Dan), Philip (Alex), Amy (Tim), Jack, Paul (Beth), Nick (Taylor), Pete (Brae), Grace (Pedro), Natalie, Andrew, Luke, Thomas, Matthew, Ava, Jacob, Julia, Owen, and Connor, and her eight great-grandchildren Rocco, Dante, Estella, Turner, Paul, Evelyn, Raya, and Julieta. Jean was born August 21, 1934, the 13th child of the late Mary and Paul Konecsni. As a young girl, Jean watched from her front porch on W. 66th Street as her future husband, Paul, delivered newspapers to the neighborhood on his bicycle. She always knew he was "the one" and their love story would span 50 years. A graduate of St. Boniface in Cleveland, Jean was an active parishioner at St. Vincent de Paul Church, where she enjoyed volunteering as a teacher's assistant. Jean loved to laugh, and her optimism was contagious. She was a gracious woman who welcomed everyone with a warm smile, and who leaves behind a legacy of strength and love.

Funeral Mass Monday, December 18, St. Vincent de Paul Church (13400 Lorain Ave, Cleveland) at 10 A.M. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS RD., SUNDAY, DECEMBER 17, 1 P.M. - 5 P.M.
