JEAN A. STUECKLER (nee Tatro) age 89. Beloved wife of the late Carl; loving mother of Judy Bulcroft (Ronald) and Sally Leachko (Joel); dear grandmother of Nathan Bulcroft (Amber) and Kimberley Burkey (Kyle); great-grandmother of Sloane, Adeline, Cora and Callan; daughter of the late Marie (nee Tilgner) and Raymond Tatro; sister of the late George Tatro; aunt and friend of many.

Jean dreamed of becoming a journalist, while attending West Tech High School. The American Greetings Corporation offered her a position as a verse writer. Her parents frowned on a woman attending college, she chose marriage and motherhood. She satisfied her creativity by pursuing artistic endeavors. Jean was a gifted poet, tailor, miniaturist, sculptor, weaver, basket maker, lapidary artist, and jewelry maker. She foraged wild food. She and her late husband, Carl, owned and managed an apartment building on Cleveland's West side. Jean also owned a Convenient Foods Store franchise with her daughter and son-in-law. Putting her own career ambitions aside, she raised two daughters, inspiring them to "reach for the stars". During summer vacation, Jean entertained her grandchildren at their home near Pymatuning Lake. She managed to juggle this role with that of primary caregiver for Carl, who was chronically ill for twenty years. Most importantly, Jean loved her God, and is now resting in His arms.

Passed away April 19, 2023. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 Lorain Rd. at Stearns SUNDAY 1-4 PM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
