July 9, 1935 – March 28, 2025
JOAN CURRY (née Bauer) age 89. With deep sadness, we share the passing of Joan Curry (Bauer), who left us on March 28, 2025, at the age of 89. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Joan was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Mildred Bauer. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, after living a full and meaningful life.
Married to the love of her life, Patrick, for an incredible 67 years, Joan found immeasurable joy in the life they shared. Together, they created a beautiful family, which became the center of her world. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, and her love for them knew no bounds. Her life's work was her family, cherishing every moment spent with them. She ensured that those around her felt loved, valued, and appreciated.
Joan was a strong woman, an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, and spending time with those she loved. She had a way of making everyone she met feel like an old, dear friend. Her kindness and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Joan's faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her with strength, grace, and unwavering devotion. She was a longtime and faithful member of St. Christopher Church. Her steadfast belief in God shaped the way she lived—always with kindness, compassion, and a heart full of love. She carried her faith into every aspect of her life, offering prayers, support, and an open heart to those in need.
She is survived by her children: Mathew Curry, Neil Curry (Nancy Shaw), Ann Kozak (Chris), and Martin Curry (Katie); her grandchildren, Emily Kozak, Nathan Curry, Natalie Curry, Andrew Kozak, and Colleen Curry. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Patrick Curry, and sisters Mildred Babin, Marcia Greiner, and Rosemary Sylvester.
