Jack cherished time spent with his family above all else. He found joy in cheering on his teams—the Browns, 49ers, Cavs, and Indians—and hardly ever missed an episode of Judge Judy. He appreciated life’s simple pleasures: a gin and tonic with just one ice cube, riding his mowers (yes there were more than one)and enjoying anything strawberry. He loved golfing and bowling, though he was never one to enjoy putting things together. Fortunately he became talented at delegating handy man chores.

Although Jack wore a suit and tie to work back in the day, he was never truly comfortable in a suit. In true Jack fashion his wishes to be layed to rest in his 49ers Rice jersey and Browns apparel is being honored along with other local teams and CSU colors.

Jack was a great family man and devoted husband. He coached all his children over countless seasons. He turned underdogs into champions. He emphasized fun and comradery over winning. The last two years he has been coaching his grandson, Eli, in golf. His golf addiction has successfully been passed down through the generations. After family dinners he could be found playing baseball in the yard or PlayStation with his grandkids. In more recent years he enjoyed a post dinner couch nap.

He would emphasize that John, Frank, Telisha, Crystal, Joe, and Xiaofeng were his sons and daughters. The term in-law was simply unnecessary.

He treasured and enjoyed the company of all. His sense of humor was like no other. He would ride down a hill in a golf cart and act like it was a roller coaster.

He valued education so much he graduated with a second bachelor degree within moments of his son, Dan, receiving his first degree from CSU. Jack, Dan, and Cathy were in the same economics class at CSU. In addition, they also worked together in the warehouse of Manco in Avon for years. Haley is carrying on the CSU tradition, but switching it up a little by pursuing a nursing degree.

He loved cuddling and supporting all his grandchildren which range from 1 to 33 years old. Nicholas, Savion, Riley, Bryson, Haley, Eli, Ben, Lucas, Alaura and great grand baby Emma were cherished by their grandpa. Sharing in their individual journeys gave him joy.

He will be remembered for the little things that made him uniquely him, and for the love he shared with those around him. Mom was the glue holding us together and Dad our stable anchor. Rest in peace with Helen, the love of your life and beyond. We love you both forever. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May you rest in peace.
