JOHN J. "JACK" BOGART, age 28, beloved son of Lisa (nee Turek) and R. David Bogart; much-loved brother of Avery, Jolie and Maisy; beloved grandson of Marilyn (nee Soster) and the late Bernard Turek and the late Jolayne (nee Westhaus) and Richard P. Bogart; cherished nephew, cousin and dear friend of many. Passed away unexpectedly September 13, 2026. Funeral Mass Thursday, September 24, St. Ladislas Church (2345 Bassett Rd., Westlake) at 11 A.M. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS RD., WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 4-7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the National Parks Foundation - nationalparks.org in Jack’s memory.

Jack was a lover of all things. He was an achiever of great things.

Jack loved nature - it’s where he felt most himself, free and happy. He spent many of his days outdoors, whether he was running his daily marathon, hiking until the sun went down, or climbing the tallest mountain he could find. He completed the Colorado trail solo, as well as a 100-mile race, accomplishing goals some of us would never even dream of setting.

Jack loved learning. We often heard “he’s the smartest guy I know” from those around him. There was nothing he couldn’t teach himself to do. He taught himself how to code, build a computer, fix his truck, golf, and more. And he pushed himself to excel at all those things.

Jack loved to explore his creativity. Through painting, journaling, technology, and even his funky fashion sense, he expressed himself without hesitation. Music was especially comforting to Jack - he had the best taste in music, enjoyed producing his own songs, and some of our most cherished memories with him are of attending concerts as a family.

Most of all, Jack loved everyone, human and furry creatures alike; all he ever wanted to do was help them. From traveling with his family, to caring for his grandmother, to entertaining his young cousins, to taking our dogs out for muddy walks, Jack deeply enjoyed sharing his time and energy with others. It was with his friends and family that he felt most present. He regularly spoke of his dream to make the world a better place for all. He made our world better.

Jack was the best son, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend that anyone could ask for. Anything you needed, anything you asked, he would happily do exactly that and more. He was an amazing man. He was kindhearted, generous, caring, curious, intelligent, fun, and extraordinarily passionate. We wish we had more time with him. He will be so dearly missed and forever in our hearts. We all love you so much Jack.
