(nee McCaughey); loving father of Dr. John Ellis (Julie), Brian (deceased) (Eileen) and the late Kathleen; proud grandfather of Elliot, Jennifer, Christine and Tatyana; great-grandfather of four; brother of the late Rita Hron, Ann Toomey, Kathrine McGirl, Margaret Ernst and Mary Gahan; beloved uncle, great-uncle and friend of many.  WWII U.S. Army veteran.  Passed away January 16, 2026.  Funeral Mass SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 14, The Church of St. Clarence (30106 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted) at 11 A.M.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.  Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD.
