JOHN JAMES "JIM" MAUER, born January 15, 1947. Passed away November 24, 2018 peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and children.
Captain and loving soul mate for 47 years to Judith Elaine Mauer (nee Tokarsky).  Son of the late John Anton "Wimpy" Mauer and Betty "Minnie" Ball (nee French).  Adored Father of Sergeant Major James John Mauer (Raquel) and Daddy to Johanna Layne Hamrick (Daniel). Proud DaDa to Harley.
Loving Grandfather and wisecracker to 1LT Jacob Russell Mauer, Samantha Corin Carson, Sean Daniel Hamrick, Sawyer McGee Hamrick and Max James Mauer. Beloved big brother to Duane Michael Mauer and Terese "Terri" Diane Ball. Uncle, Cousin, Family and Friend to many. Special friend to Charlotte at Parkway Barber. John James Mauer was a most talented fisherman and hunter. Captain of the Red Eye out of E. 55th Marina Cleveland, retired Teamster Local 407 Truck Driver, United States Navy and friend of Bill W for 33 years. His legend will live on through his family on the water, catching Perch and Walleye in his honor. Funeral Mass Friday, November 30, 2018, St. Patrick Church (West Park) at 10 A.M.
