JOHN M. TULETA, age 69, beloved husband of 34 years to Bridget (nee Cooney); loving father of Allison Joseph (Fred), Annie Tuleta (Justin Hahn), Audra and Abbie; proud Pop Pop of Donovan John Joseph; son of the late Mary Ellen (nee Barno) and Francis Tuleta; dear brother of Thomas (Joanne), Joseph (Maureen), Daniel (Karen) and Therese Tuleta; beloved uncle, great-uncle and dear friend of many. Passed away July 16, 2026. Funeral Mass Tuesday, July 21, Our Lady of Angels Church (3644 Rocky River Dr.) at 9:30 A.M. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. John had many accomplishments in his life and impacted so many peoples lives and hearts. He was an avid lover of his family, friends, animals, and all athletics. He was always one with a joke ready to go. He was always the one people, even strangers, could count on. He always talked about how his guardian angels protected him not realizing how much he was an angel to others. John was a man of Christ, strongly believed in prayer and spent his Wednesday mornings at Rosary club at St. Mels. Being there to help, lead and coach others was his passion. A perfect day in the life of John would be to be with the kids at the Jones Home or Cleveland Christian Home. From there he would go to Winterhurst and be with the St Edward hockey team. And then spend the rest of his day with his girls. Some say John didn’t have any sons, but he loved each and every hockey player of his. Trust in knowing he knew everyone’s individual stats and years played, but if asked to name one of his daughter’s teachers…. that’s another story.

Even through the hardest times of his life. He never stopped. It was never poor me. He always would just figure something out.

He never once missed one of his daughter’s games or events, even if he knew he had an overnight shift he had to go to or was just coming home from. If we had somewhere to be, he was there too without fail. As much as he loved all of his titles, Pop Pop was his favorite. He had a twinkle in his eye as soon as he saw Donnie or talked about him.

John was an avid animal lover. It’s easy from the outside looking in, to think the animals were brought home by Bridget or the girls. Really it was John crossing paths with them or them quite literally jumping into his car.

John is the greatest man most of us will ever know and he will be missed beyond belief.
