IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Kilbane
O'Toole
March 19, 1941 – May 17, 2024
JOHN KILBANE O'TOOLE, born March 19, 1941 to his doting parents, Mary (nee Kilbane) and Thomas. John was called home by God on Friday, May 17, 2024 surrounded by his beloved family: his devoted wife, Frances (nee Imburgia); his adoring children, John (Nancy), Erin (Joe Pagano), Beth McDonnell, and Patti Saracusa (Anthony); his cherished grandchildren, Grace Radcliffe (Sadie), Michael and Simon O'Toole; Isabella "Issy", Ava, and Phoebe Pagano; Sarah, Kiley, Patrick, and John McDonnell; and Rose, Vera, and Etta Saracusa; dearest brother, Thomas (Joyce). He was blessed by many treasured relatives and loyal friends.
"Be kind to everyone" was his parting request. Faith, family, and friends were the centerpieces of John's life, from which he never strayed. He dedicated himself to education and morality and attended St. Patrick in West Park, St. Ignatius High School (1959), Borromeo College (BA 1963), and Cleveland State University Law School (J.D.1967).
His path to priesthood was derailed when he met the most beautiful Frances Ann "Fran". When finally united in marriage on September 21, 1968, they were a most dynamic duo. They shared a vision of hard work, family, and adventure.
John's passion for traveling and learning from other cultures is his real legacy despite his endless devotion to his many clients over his 40-plus- year legal career. He was not a man to profess his feelings but clearly showed them through his actions. John's witty and reserved nature endeared him to many. His kindness was complimented by a never-ending generosity to others. Everything about him will be missed but we hold his memories dear until we meet again.
