JOHN PATRICK MULGREW, age 53, joined our Lord on December 6, 2015, after an 18-month battle with Amyloidosis. Beloved son of Elizabeth (nee Moran) and the late John; loving brother of Maureen Murdock (Mike); adored uncle of Michael, David, Steven, and Owen; close cousin of Ellen Peyton (Danny) and their children, Lauren, Danny, and Mary; cherished nephew of Frank Mulgrew (deceased) (Ann), James Mulgrew (deceased) (Louise), Kay Bitterman (Tom) (both deceased), Mary Lavin (Bob), Roseanne Ginley (Joe), Martin Moran (deceased) (Mary), Eamon Moran (Theresa), Ailis Mahon (Frank) (both deceased), Irvin Moran (Bridie), and numerous loving cousins. John was loved by hundreds of students and their families throughout the West Side of Cleveland. John had always dreamed of becoming a Cleveland police officer and became one in 1989 (being named Officer of the Year, 5th District in 1993), but after his accident he retired due to his disability. He did not let his paralysis define his life, but instead found his greatest joy in photographing his 'buddies' at all their sports activities including basketball, softball, tennis, gymnastics, rugby, volleyball, soccer, swimming and track. Funeral Mass Saturday, December 12, Our Lady of Angels Church (3644 Rocky River Dr., Cleveland, OH 44111) at 10:00 A.M. where friends may call 9 A.M. UNTIL TIME OF MASS.
