JOHN DAVID REITZ, age 46, Captain, Avon Lake Fire Department.  Beloved son of Bernadette (nee Hrehocik) and the late Gerald Sr.; loving brother of Lisa Reitz Williamson (Hon. Daniel Gaul), Laura, Gerald Jr. (Laura), Barbara Reitz (John Sheehan), Thomas (Patricia) and Mary Jo Ehrbar (James); uncle of Catherine, Charles, Allison, Ella and Halle; beloved nephew, cousin and friend of many.  Captain John David Reitz was a proud firefighter with 21 years of service and devoted to the citizens of Avon Lake and surrounding communities.  Passed away suddenly January 23, 2018.  Funeral Mass Saturday, January 27, St. Richard Church (26855 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted) at 10 A.M.  (ALL FIRE PERSONNEL PLEASE MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH).  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.  Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD.
