JOSE A. GARCIA, age 79. Passed away peacefully at home on July 17, 2020 surrounded by his family. Beloved husband for 58 years to Barbara (nee Riser); father to Linda Ladatto (Steve), Teresa Knox (John), Jose Jr. and Gloria O'Malley (Kevin); Grandfather of Tasha (Tim), Adam (Jaycee), Ariel, Donte, Manny, Miranda (Chance), Macy, and Dominic; great-grandfather to Eli; son of the late Theodore (Don Teo) and Gloria Garcia of San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico; brother of Iris Santiago (Nestor); proceeded in death by brother Carlos (Iris), and sister Anna. Jose passed away after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. Jose enjoyed being a sports fan, he played softball for years, was a huge boxing fan, enjoyed bowling and gave great effort to playing golf. He loved his family. Known as the life of the party wherever he went and was always willing to take your money in a card game. Funeral Mass Tuesday, July 21, St. Patrick Church (West Park) at 10:00 AM. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR. AT PURITAS MONDAY 4-7 PM. WHERE SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE OBSERVED AND FACEMASKS ARE REQUIRED.
