IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph J.
Buettner

JOSEPH JOHN BUETTNER
July 30, 1973 – July 8, 2024
Amazing husband of Megan (nee Forst); Doting dad of Lauren Grace and Katherine Elizabeth. Son of John Buettner and the late Margaret Rose (nee Fahey) and Virginia (nee Landi). Brother of Beth Forst (Michael), David, Joyce Tamerlano (John), and Kevin (Karla). Favorite son-in-law of Daniel Forst and the late Rosemarie Forst, whom he taught all she needed to know about baseball. Comedic brother-in-law to Michelle, Michael (Beth), and Melissa Newman (Sloan). Loving uncle to Jadzia, Tiree, Xander, Chris, Riley, Maddie, Bella, Izzy, Owen, Rafi, and Caden.
Joe had a passion for sports and had season tickets to the Dawg Pound, where he kept the tailgating spread on point. He truly loved being part of the moment. He loved his boys and knew how much his boys loved Megan aka Schmoopie.
Joe's favorite way to give back was in coaching track for his kids at Holy Trinity. Coach Joe knew the personal record (PR) of every one of his 80 athletes each season. He knew how to inspire, train, and make each one of his kiddos soar.
Joe was a heck of a cook and looked forward to the Thanksgiving Feast where he took pride in making his pumpkin cheesecake. He loved being with his Aunt Jean, Kevin, Karen, Brad, and Blake. A tradition he would never break.
Joe was the best girl dad to Lauren and Kate, his most favorite gift from God. He cheered them at all their events, and enjoyed being Mr. Mom with all their shopping trips, dinner dates and theater tickets.
Megan was blessed to find her soulmate 30 years ago and was by his side for the ride of amazement of making her shine. Joe was her biggest fan, and she his. They worked a few offices away for a moment at American Greetings, where he ensured each person he worked with knew how much he appreciated them by adding a spin of his humor into the day.
Joe never let his sickness get him down and he believed in his miracle. He was blessed to hug his girls and hear their stories before he went to bed alongside his pup, Kimmy Gibbler.
Please join his family as he has gone to Heaven too soon.
