IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph
Prioli
July 1, 1936 – July 5, 2024
JOSEPH PRIOLI passed away on July 5, 2024 at the age of 88. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Barbara (Burcsik), his parents Fortunato and Pasqualina (Romeo), and siblings Frances, Mary, Eleanor, Shirlee, and Anthony. He is survived by his children Natalee (Robert), Bradley (Michele) and Cynthia (Shawn), his grandchildren Nathan, Jeremy, Jenna, Missy, Matthew, Kathleen, and Julia, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Joseph, affectionately known to many as Papa Joe, was born July 1, 1936, in Niagara Falls, Canada, and was raised in nearby Welland. He attended Welland High and Vocational School, where he met his wife Barbara. They married on July 11, 1959, and later settled in Cleveland, Ohio. They made their home in the West Park area, where they raised their three children and lived for 55 years.
Joseph had a long and storied career at Alro Specialty Metals, taking great pride in his work as a General Manager. Joseph was a proud member of the Metallurgical Society, as well as the President of the Amigo's Business Association. Joseph's hobbies included golfing, collecting and refurbishing cigar boxes, and spending time with loved ones.
Joseph and his family were dedicated members of Our Lady of Angels parish, and Joseph was a long time member of the Holy Name Society. Joseph found great comfort and strength in his faith, and attended mass as often as he could.
In their retirement, Joseph and Barbara purchased a home on the lake in Wainfleet, Ontario, which became a beloved gathering place for many family and friends. Many glorious get togethers and celebrations were held at "The Lake".
Joseph was the recipient of endless love and support from his family, friends, and community. Special thanks to his friends who made sure to call and visit. Thank you to Dr. James Crandell, The Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital Staff, VNS, and those in the Western Reserve Navigator Program (Jenna and Jeff). A special thank you to his caregiver Angela Davis, friend Gerri Gibson, and his guardian angel Theresa Chambers.
We are at peace now that Joseph is reunited with his beloved wife Barabara.
