JOSEPH C. VAVRUS age 92. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (nee Lawler); devoted father of Joan Wheeler (Michael), Karen Glasenapp (Tom), Diane Grohe, and Donald (Louise); loving grandfather of Chris Myslenski, Stephen and Julie Wheeler, Br. Brian Glasenapp, O.S.B., Mark Glasenapp (Marriette) and Michael Glasenapp, M.D., Kelly Lisy (Brandon) and Hallie Vavrus; dear great-grandfather of three; brother of the late Anna Hlad, John, Veronica Began, Mary Stefanek, Margaret Baran and Edward; uncle of many. Joe was a 1941 graduate of Benedictine High School, a WWII Army Veteran, 383rd AAA A Battery, serving in the Pacific, and retired after 38 years as a printer with the Plain Dealer. Passed away Dec. 3, 2015. Funeral Mass Monday, Dec. 7, St. Patrick Church (West Park) at 10:00 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
