JOYCE A. MASTERSON (nee Shimo), age 63, of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, and formerly of Strongsville, passed away on August 12, 2015 in Barrington, IL. Always to be remembered as a dedicated teacher, great conversationalist,  and wonderful friend. Survived by her husband of twenty-four years David S. Crook, canine companions Zoey and Licorice, brother Jeff Shimo (Diane), nieces Andrea Shimo-Flynn (Donovan),  Jillian Shimo (fiancé Sean Finnegan), Debbie Glaza (Steve), Kim Heading (Mike), and nephews Todd Berner, Brad Hill (Wendi), and Jeff Sielinski (Stacey). She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Rosemary (nee Hajek) Shimo. Memorial Service Saturday, September 26 ^th at 7:00 p.m. in the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS RD., where friends may call SATURDAY 4 P.M. UNTIL TIME OF SERVICE. Reverend John C. Retar, Pastor of St. Frances Cabrini Parish in Lorain and Reverend Lawrence N. Martello, Pastor Emeritus of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst will concelebrate.
