JOYCE A. MASTERSON (nee Shimo), age 63, of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, and formerly of Strongsville, passed away on August 12, 2015 in Barrington, IL. Always to be remembered as a dedicated teacher, great conversationalist, and wonderful friend. Survived by her husband of twenty-four years David S. Crook, canine companions Zoey and Licorice, brother Jeff Shimo (Diane), nieces Andrea Shimo-Flynn (Donovan), Jillian Shimo (fiancé Sean Finnegan), Debbie Glaza (Steve), Kim Heading (Mike), and nephews Todd Berner, Brad Hill (Wendi), and Jeff Sielinski (Stacey).
