JOYCE C. PLANISEK (nee Gatto)  Passed away early morning on April 15th, 2025, in Palm Springs, California. Joyce was 75 years old at the time of her passing. She is survived by her loving husband Bill, children Matt and wife Angie, Danny and husband Mike, Christi and fiancé Michael, and grandchildren Jeremy and Jillian.

She was born to Lou and Antoinette Gatto on November 11th, 1949. She was followed by siblings, Dawn, Lou, and Billy. She grew up in Cleveland Heights, Ohio and attended Regina High School. She met her husband Bill while working for St. Paul Insurance, and they were married November 9th, 1974, at Gesu Church. After the birth of her children, Joyce began to work at her family's business, Gatto Electric Supply Company. Later, during her retirement, Joyce served as a volunteer at the Cleveland Clinic - Avon. She was also an active member of her Italian club and loved to play bunco. She and Bill also loved winters spent in Florida and traveling by land, sea, or air.

Joyce is remembered lovingly by family and friends as a devoted mother, huge personality, average cook, and lover of Diet Coke. She never failed to light up a room with a big smile and a big heart. When thinking of her, one phrase often came to mind, "though she be but little, she is fierce".

Funeral Mass Friday, April 25, St. Richard Church (26855 Lorain Rd.) at 10:00 AM. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS Thursday, April 24th, 4-7 PM. and a luncheon at Wagners of Westlake also on Friday, the 25th. In place of flowers, Joyce's family requests to make a donation to Go Red for Women to honor Joyce's battle with heart disease and support other women in their journey. https://www.goredforwomen.org/en/
