JUDITH JOYCE "JUDY" KILO (nee Frank), age 82, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026, after a long-fought battle with myelofibrosis. Judy was born on June 15, 1944 in Buffalo, New York to the late Harold Frank Sr. and Jane (Maj) Frank.
While living overseas in Bitsburg, Germany while her father Senior Master Sergeant, Harold Frank served in the United States Air Force, Judy met the love of her life, Stephen (Steve) Kilo during a holiday meal where her father had invited him to their home to spend the holiday. Judy and Steve fell in love at first sight and were married on June 23, 1962. Their love and faith in God blessed them with two children, daughter Nancy (Kilo) Pierce and son Stephen Kilo II.
Judy’s life was filled with joy, laughter, and love. She was best known for keeping an impeccably clean house, feeding everyone who walked through her door, and spending lots of time working on her gardens. Judy's love for the Lord and Holy Mother Mary was shown in her time spent at St. Adalbert Parish on Tuesday nights at Novena and Eucharistic Adoration. Judy also loved spending time with his family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also worked as a dental hygienist for 9 years with Dr. Russell Pollina.
The Lord continued to place many blessings in Judy’s life including three granddaughters, Paige and Taylor (Pierce) Nespor (mother Nancy, and father Thomas), and Joni Kilo (mother Jacky, father Stephen (wife Diane Evans) fiance Chad Szabo). In 2016, Judy became a great-grandfather when granddaughter Taylor (Pierce) Nespor welcomed Julia Joyce Nespor into the world in late October of 2016, and again when she welcomed Jacob Wyatt Nespor in late August of 2021.
Judy is survived by her brother Harold Frank Jr. and Janice (Frank) Ridley (husband Bob Riddley), along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, and friends. Judy was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Jane Frank, sister-in-law Sheryl Frank.
