JUDITH A. MERK (nee Hutter), age 69, of Westlake passed away May 6, 2017 at home.  Wonderful wife of 47 years to George J.; cherished mother of G. Charles, Jacqueline, Robert (Molly) and Elizabeth Snezek (Sean); loving "GaGa" of Jack, Jorie and Simon; dear daughter of the late Mary Jane (nee DeWitt) and George F. Hutter; dear sister of Susan Pena (Mark) and Dale Hutter (Dauna).   Judy worked hard to hold cancer at bay for 15 years and fought bravely against it when it recently recurred.  She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and caregiver, always finding ways to help others and make them comfortable and happy.  We will miss her tender touch, her great cooking and baking, her keen ability to solve our problems, give good advice and keep us grounded and trying to do what was right.  She had unwavering faith and loved being in the church choir singing beautifully while ministering and having fun at the same time.  We know she is happily singing with the angels now and finally getting some well-deserved rest.  Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, May 13, Church of St. Clarence (30106 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted) at 10 A.M.  PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.  Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS RD., FRIDAY 4-8 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to a charity of choice.
