KAREL R. POSPISIL, age 78, of North Olmsted passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday April 24, 2024. Born in Czechoslovakia where he played rugby for his local team, Lokomotiva Olomouc and worked as a heavy diesel mechanic. Karel and his young family escaped the hands of communism to come to America in 1982. Once here he worked for over 30 years for Hansen Corporation (Eaton) where he was a machine repairman.  He liked to spend his free time working on their home and tinkering on cars. His family enjoyed time together at the Metro Parks on the weekend. They also enjoyed their summer vacations to Florida. Over the last 26 years, Karel's pride has become his 5 grandsons. He has enjoyed watching them grow up and excel in sports and academics.

Preceded in death by his mother, Jirina Rohrerova and his father Bedrich Pospisil.  He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Jarmila, sons Karel Pospisil Jr, (Amanda Pospisil) and Petr Pospisil, brother Bedrich Pospisil (Olga Pospisil), and grandsons Brendan Pospisil, Joel Pospisil, Drew Pospisil, Owen Pospisil and Tate Cicero. The family would also like to thank their neighbors Josh and Amanda for all their help when needed and providing them with entertainment from their fur-grand dogs.
