KAREN M. BLESSE (nee DeCrane) age 67, beloved wife of 41 years to Kenneth A.; loving mother of Erin Weiland (Josh); devoted grandmother of Liam; daughter of the late Mary (nee Reilly) and Edward DeCrane; sister of the late Linda Chokan and Judith Mazzeo; beloved aunt, cousin and dear friend of many.

Karen's 18-month fight with ovarian cancer ended peacefully with her husband holding her hand on September 20, 2020. Karen was a beam of light as a student and employee at St. Angela Merici School and Magnificat High School (Class of 1971). She was a wonderful Girl Scout leader, coach and mentor. People would often stop into her office to hide, talk, or just have a good laugh. Karen and Ken's house was often a place where Erin's friends could go any time to eat, sleep, and talk about anything. Her infectious laugh and smile would light up a room. Her love of camping and cruising will have lasting memories with the ones she loved. She will be greatly missed by everyone she has touched.

Funeral Mass Thursday, September 24, St. Angela Merici Church (20970 Lorain Rd. Fairview Park) at 11:30 A.M. (face masks required). Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DRIVE AT PURITAS where social distancing will be observed and face masks required WEDNESDAY 4-7 P.M. Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Angela Merici Guardian Angel Fund, 20970 Lorain Rd. Fairview Park, OH 44126 or Magnificat High School Athletic Department, 20770 Hilliard Blvd., Rocky River, OH 44116. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery (Brook Park, OH) at a later date after cremation, when family and friends can gather safely for a celebration of her life.
