It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Karen Ann Baba-Nock (née Schie), on October 21. Born on August 27th, 1947, in Ohio, Karen was the first of seven siblings in a close-knit family. She was the cherished sister of Nancy, Linda, and Jimmy, and is preceded in death by her siblings Gayle, Tom, and Kimmie.

Karen was a devoted mother to her two sons, Tim and Ralph, and a loving mother-in-law to Kathy. Her love extended far beyond her immediate family. She was a proud grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and dear friend to many. Karen was never truly an empty nester; after her sons grew up, she continued to nurture and raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always providing love and guidance.

A true people person, Karen spent much of her life working in the restaurant industry as a successful owner, manager, and bartender. She built lasting friendships and touched the hearts of everyone she met. Her warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Karen passed peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and dedication to family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
