Kathy was born in Cleveland Ohio, March 4, 1942 to Michael and Miriam Gannon. She was the loving wife of Ron Moll for 59 years.
A natural caregiver, Kathy devoted her life first and foremost to her family as a loving wife, mom and grandma. She was a lifelong member of St. Angela Merici Parish, where she also attended grade school, and she was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy. Class of 1960.
Kathy’s professional life reflected her strong work ethic and warm personality. She worked as a switchboard operator at Van Dorn, ran a home cake baking and decorating business, and even taught cake decorating. She later spent over 25 years at Fairview Hospital in various roles, including the mailroom, central supply, and in the home health care department.
Kathy was a loyal friend with an easy laugh, a gift for storytelling and quick witted “one-liners”. She loved sharing memories and could recall details and facts that amazed everyone around her. She was known for her many sayings that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Kathy and Ron spent over 30 years enjoying weekends at their camper in Chatham, Ohio, creating treasured memories with their sons, nieces, nephews, and later their grandchildren. Along the way, they formed many lifelong friendships.
Kathy enjoyed baking and cooking. She was generous with her time and talents whether cooking for family gatherings or friends and neighbors at a difficult time. Some of her highly requested dishes included chicken wings, apple pie, mince pie and Irish soda bread.
Creative and thoughtful, Kathy would keep her hands and mind busy doing a variety of crafts such as rug hooking, liquid embroidery, and plastic canvas. She learned to crochet so she could make baby blankets for each of her grandchildren—a lasting symbol of her love.
Kathy will be remembered for her warmth, her caring, her creativity and the deep love she had for everyone she met.
There will be reception after the cemetery service where all are welcome to join the family at the
Westlake Recreation Center 28955 Hilliard Blvd Westlake, OH 44145.
