KATHRYN J. HYLTON (nee Wallen) age 70 of Fairview Park, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on April 23, 2025.

Born on November 9, 1954, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Kathryn built a life rooted in love, laughter, and dedication to family. She was the beloved wife of Wayne, devoted mother to Carly Stiger (Aaron), and a loving stepmother to Jennifer Bachman and Callie Lehman (Paul). She was also an adoring grandmother to Brystal, Brandon, Jacob, Reid, Luke, and Ava—each of whom brought endless joy to her life.

Kathryn was known for her sharp wit, intelligence, and warm sense of humor. She had an impressive knowledge of trivia and pop culture and was always ready with a fun fact or quick answer that amazed those around her. Her laughter could light up a room, and her love for her family ran deep.

She enjoyed the excitement of a good gamble—whether it was playing her favorite lottery numbers, visiting the casino, or proudly appearing on the TV game show Cash Explosion. A true Cleveland fan, she could always be found cheering on the Guardians with spirit and loyalty.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, Maxine V. Wallen and Robert E. Wallen, as well as her sisters, Susan M. Carpeal and Judith L. Wallen. Her memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Above all, Kathryn will be remembered as a loving wife, a fiercely proud grandmother, and a woman whose presence left an indelible mark on those lucky enough to know her.
