LEONARD PAUL BRINDA age 90. Retired firefighter City of Cleveland Division of Fire. Beloved husband of 61 yrs. to the late Louise (nee Boh). Dear father of Cathy Hauck (Dan) of Roswell, GA and Lenny (Debbie) of Aurora, OH; grandfather of Dennis Hauck (Ivette), Dan Hauck (Kelly), Allyson Skebe (Rob), Lindsey Brinda and Brian Brinda; and was soon to be a great-grandfather. He was predeceased by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Lauretta Smihal (Anthony) and Martina Saunders (Richard) and was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Len was born and raised on Cleveland's Westside. He entered the Army and fought in Italy with the 85th Custer division, receiving the combat infantryman badge and three bronze stars. He was a member of the American Legion for 61 years. He was a faithful Catholic all his life including many years as an active parishioner at St. Angela Merici parish (since 1985). Passed away June 12, 2014. Funeral Mass Monday, June 16, St. Angela Merici Church (20970 Lorain Rd.) at 10:00 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
