LESTER T. TOLT, 92, of North Olmsted.  Beloved husband of the late Florence (nee Citino). Loving father of Susan (Don) Gallovic, Amy Walsh and Tom (Zhidan). Proud grandfather "Papa" of Matthew, Sarah, Benjamin & Hannah Gallovic, James "Jason" Walsh (Ashley) and Eric Tolt.  Great-grandfather of Philip Walsh.  Passed away peacefully at home December 8, 2020.

Les was a lifelong Clevelander, having graduated from West Tech High School (1946) and Western Reserve University (1950) (BBA, Cum Laude).  In 1956 he sat for the CPA exam, and earned the highest score in the State of Ohio.  After working a number of years as a CPA, he attended Cleveland Marshall School of Law, graduating in 1963 (JD).  He was a member of Delta Theta Phi and Beta Alpha Psi fraternities, as well as the American Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

In midlife he became an avid runner, participating in countless local races over a period of many years.   Les completed several marathons, including the Revco Cleveland, Columbus, Chicago and New York City marathons.

For the past 20 years Les was in his element as a musician, playing saxophone, clarinet, and flute in many community bands, including his favorites:  Letter Carriers Band, Baldwin Wallace New Horizon Band, Swinging Bavarians and Tri-C Jazz ensemble. He was a lifetime member of the Cleveland Federation of Musicians (Local 4).

His greatest joy in life was his six grandchildren and his new great grandson. He was always there for each of them, providing unending support and always brought out the best in them.

Les was a proud member of the Greatest Generation, serving in the U.S. Navy, a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War.  His lifetime of hard work, perseverance, and a strong sense of treating others fairly set an exemplary example across four generations of his family, business associates, fellow musicians and friends.

Private services will be held at Western Reserve National Cemetery.
