LORETTA "JEANNE" GANNON (nee Cullen), age 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and prayers of her family. A lifelong beacon of grace, wit, and kindness, Jeanne lived her life as the heart of the Gannon family. She was a gentle, beautifully mannered woman whose warmth drew people to her whether they were lifelong friends, neighbors or the cashier at the grocery store. People loved talking with her and she welcomed each conversation with warmth.

Jeanne was born to her loving parents, Thomas F. Sr. Cullen and Loretta E. (née O'Boyle). She grew up in a close-knit Catholic family with her brother Rev. Thomas F. Cullen and her sister Teresa M. Lazar (Andrew). Her early years were grounded in strong family bonds and the Catholic faith that remained important to her throughout her life. She carried these values with her throughout her life, and they became the foundation of the home she later built with her husband, John E. "Jack" Gannon. Their love story began when she caught Jack's eye wearing a polka-dot dress — a moment the family has lovingly retold for decades. They were married for many wonderful years, raising six children together and building a home filled with laughter, love, order, and unwavering devotion.

Jeanne was a devoted mother and homemaker, pouring herself wholeheartedly into the family she cherished. She took great pride in her children and the lives they created, celebrating every milestone and every small victory. Her family was her greatest joy and her greatest accomplishment, and her influence will continue to be felt for generations in the family she and Jack built.

After the passing of her son John, Jeanne and Jack lovingly stepped in to help raise his daughters. She provided steadiness, compassion, and guidance during a difficult time. Her deep presence in their lives became one of her quiet but profound legacies.

Jeanne loved simple, meaningful pleasures: reading, going out to lunch, spending time with family, and welcoming anyone into her home with the same warmth and hospitality that defined her life. She was witty and sharp as a tack well into her later years, always ready with a clever remark or a knowing smile. She had a dignity and grace that set her apart — always put together, always thoughtful, always kind.

Jeanne's Catholic faith grounded her throughout her life. Walking into her home, you immediately felt the importance of her Irish heritage and her devotion to her faith. Prayer brought her comfort in every season, and in her final days, that same faith and the belief that she would be welcomed into the embrace of the loved ones who went before her brought deep comfort to her family as well.

Jeanne is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John E. "Jack" Gannon, and by her son, John E. Jr. "Johnny." She is survived by her children Mary (Bill) Morgan, Michael (Sharlene) Gannon, Thomas (Cyndi) Gannon, Eileen Holler (the late Patrick), and Kathryn (Edwin) Mayer. She is also survived by her grandchildren Megan Gannon, Erin Howard (Brian), Bridget Griffin (Brian), Kathryn McClelland (Kameron), Angela Brick (Thomas), Kevin Gannon (Ashley), Amanda DeHart (Mikel), Patrick Gannon (Megan), Jessalyn Dickerson (Mike), Matthew Gannon, M.D. (Adam), and Christine Mayer, as well as 19 great-grandchildren who brought her endless happiness.

She lived with love, walked with faith, and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, gentleness, and unwavering devotion to her family.
