IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Loretta M.
Mohar
July 2, 1929 – November 25, 2021
LORETTA M. MOHAR (nee Wisniewski), age 92, of North Olmsted, died peacefully on November 25, 2021. Loretta was born July 2, 1929 in Cleveland, a daughter of the late Peter and Cecilia. She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Joseph Mohar; son, Gregory Mohar; grandson, Nathan Yencha. After graduating from Marymount High School, Loretta married her high school sweetheart Joseph Mohar in 1949. Together they had 11 children, 27 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. For Loretta, her most significant accomplishment was raising her family. Though Loretta was only employed a few years of her life, she never stopped working. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, scout leader, school and church volunteer, and poll worker. (Her pay was never enough.) She was a devout Catholic and strong Democrat. Loretta loved to garden, bake, and watch the Rachel Maddow show. Loretta kept an immaculate house. So immaculate that many of her children had anxiety attacks when she was coming to visit. Most of all she loved her family and instilled in her children strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Surviving are her children: Robert (Kathleen), Gregory (deceased) (Martha), Daniel (Lora), Kenneth, Karen Mohar-Wolf (Thomas, deceased), Gerald (Cynthia), Susan Yencha (Jeff), Jo Ann Kelly (John), Lawrence (Denise), Richard (Stephanie), Joel (Kelly): and brother, Leonard Wisniewski. She was preceded in death by siblings, Stanley, Henry, Raymond, Celine Weir, Richard, and Edward. Funeral Mass, Tuesday, November 30, The Church of St. Clarence (30106 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted) at 10 a.m. where friends may call OHE HOUR PRIOR TO MASS. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Avon. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Malachi Center, 2416 Superior Viaduct, Cleveland, OH 44113, or to Hospice of Western Reserve, P.O.Box 72101, Cleveland, OH 44192.
