On Saturday morning, June 3rd 2023, our mother, Lorianne A. Davis passed away unexpectedly at the age of 88. While we were aware she was suffering from complications related to congestive heart failure, we did not expect that she would be taken from us so suddenly.

A celebration of life for Lorie and her son Neal (Willie) Davis, will be held on Thursday June 15th, 2023, from 6-8 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in West Lake, Ohio, at 25000 Westwood Road. Neal Davis passed away on October 5th, 2021, but unfortunately until now we were unable to coordinate a time to come together and honor him.

Lorie will be interred in the Western Reserve military cemetery in Rittman OHIO with her husband Luther G Davis Jr., known as Red. Red was born on October 23, 1933 and passed away January 29, 2001. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict and served with distinction, earning two bronze stars for heroic achievement. Lorie's son, William Neal Davis, also served as a United states Army Airborne Ranger and will be interred nearby.

Mary Lorianne (Lorie with an E--think Anne of Green Gables) Aurore was born in the village of Champlain, NY on February 25, 1935, to Adolph and Germaine (nee Boulee) Faille, French Canadian citizens living in the USA. She had one younger brother, Joseph Ronald Faille.

After graduating from high school, Lorie left Champlain and went to work for the FBI as a page, carrying documents between government agencies. It was in Washington DC that she met her husband Red, who was finishing his military service. The two met on a blind date and soon married.  They settled and raised their family in northeast Ohio. Lorie loved to laugh and enjoyed collecting funny stories and cartoons to share with her loved ones, and was known for often saying "hey, I've got a funny for you." She also loved to crochet and gave many handmade gifts to her family and friends. After Red's passing, Lorie remained active and enjoyed a variety of activities with her friends, including participating in Red Hat luncheons, playing cards at the senior center, and singing with the senior choir. Especially important during the final years of her life was her dear friend Raymond, with whom she loved to travel and go ballroom dancing.

Lorie was preceded in death by her husband, Red, her brother, Ronald Faille, her son, William Neal Davis, and her granddaughter-in-law, Sabrina Davis, wife of grandson Clinton. She is survived by her daughter Cathy Davis, eldest son, Alan Scot Davis Sr. (Geraldine nee Brown) of North Olmsted Ohio, Scot's sons Alan Scot Davis Jr, Clinton Duncan Davis (Sabrina), Bretton Grant Davis (Erin), Bradley Eric Davis, and grandchildren Summer, Kaylie, Joshua, Sandy, and Parker.
