LOUIS C. BROSSARD,  age 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, December 14th, 2024.

Lou was the beloved husband of 63 beautiful years to Teresa (nee Quinn), loving father of Lisa Nagle (Michael), Lou (Joni), Stephen, and Michael (Laura). Proud grandfather of Emily, Sean, Cullen, Nick, Devyn, Brenna, Olivia, Joe, Louis and great grandfather to Mason. Loving brother to Richard (Recail), David (Barbara) and Kathy Bird (Doug). Son of the late Louis K. Sr. and Kathryn Brossard. Was preceded in passing by his loving brother David Brossard, cherished son-in-law Michael Nagle and beloved granddaughter Brenna Brossard.

Born in Buffalo NY, Lou was a graduate of Kensington High School. He attended Colgate University, where he was a member of the Cross Country team. He met the love of his life, Terry while he was working the Peace Bridge after she caught his eye walking across it daily. Lou and Terry quickly married and spent their first few years of marriage raising their kids in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Eventually they moved to Olmsted Falls, OH where Lou spent the majority of his career as a Senior Engineer for Republic Engineered Steel. Despite raising four children, he spent his evenings attending Cleveland State University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering. Lou loved being involved in his children and grandchildren's sports. He was the President of the Olmsted Falls Little League for 10 years and spent 15 years coaching multiple levels of his children's baseball, softball, and hockey teams. In addition, he was a member of the Olmsted Falls Recreation Commission for many years. Lou was an athlete himself, completing two full Cleveland Marathons, playing on numerous softball teams and spending his summers out on the golf course.

Following retirement, Lou and Terry spent the majority of their time enjoying the beautiful weather in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. They loved the friendships they built there and having their kids and grandkids come to visit. Lou always took time throughout the year to travel back up to Cleveland for weeks at a time just to watch his grandchildren's sports teams play. He truly was their biggest fan. In addition to being a family man, Lou poured his heart and soul into genealogy, creating a family tree that dates back hundreds of years. He was ahead of his time in technology and truly was the definition of a lifelong learner.

In 2022, Lou and Terry moved back up to Olmsted Falls permanently, where they spent their time with their kids and grandkids. Even until the very end Lou loved to dance, crack jokes, and make everyone around him smile. He will be missed greatly.
