Loving uncle and cousin of many. For over 30 years, Lucian practiced law and was an active member of his church and community. He was instrumental in the foundation of the Cleveland Regional Sewer District, serving as Assistant Law Director, Law Director and General Counsel. Along with Richard Hollington, he wrote the first charter of the Sewer District. In 1978 he entered private practice in Cleveland with his law school friend, Bill Westley, starting the firm Rego & Westley, and later Rego, Westley & Cullen. In 1986, along with partner Jim Cullen, the practice moved to Fairview Park forming Rego, Cullen and Hagan, with now Rocky River municipal Judge Brian Hagen. He was a 1962 graduate of St. Edward High School and was a member of its Board of Trustees. For 19 years, he was President of Willowood Manor, a not-for-profit senior housing project in Fairview Park. In 1980 he was appointed Prosecutor for the City of Fairview Park where he served until 1984. Beginning in the late 1990s, he served as Fairview's assistant law director and for an additional five years as its law director. He negotiated the contracts to reinvigorate Fairview's central business district and the building of the Gemini Center. As a dedicated life-long parishioner of St. Angela Merici, he served on the finance council and chaired the St. Angela 2000 committee to refurbish the infrastructure. These efforts raised over $2.5M for four main areas: classroom upgrades, a computer lab, gymnasium and repairs to the church. He was a man of great faith and had a great love of his family, friends and community. Lucian passed away Dec. 27, 2013. Funeral Mass Tuesday, Dec. 31, St. Angela Merici Church (20970 Lorain Rd.
