IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marcia
Frank
April 8, 1954 – February 26, 2025
MARCIA FRANK (nee Loth) age 70 passed away on February 26, 2025 after a 12 year journey with Alzheimer's Disease. Beloved wife and best friend for over 42 years to Thomas R., loving mother of Nicholas (Teri), Rebecca (Ryan) Crocker, Jessica, Joey (deceased), Melinda, and Alyssa; Oma to Ella, Grace, Levi, Olivia, Jake, and Simon.
Marcia was born in Jakarta, Indonesia to Jerry (deceased) and Gladys Loth (nee Smith). She grew up in the Netherlands, Boston, and Shaker Heights alongside cherished siblings Peggy (Tom) Reda, Peter (Marie José), Ellen (Phil) Foell and Nicole (Brad) Rosen. She lived a life centered on her faith, friends, and her large family of nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Case Western Reserve University, Marcia worked as an Anesthesiologist Assistant at St. Vincent Charity Hospital, where she met her husband Tom. After beginning their family, Marcia took on the role of a full time homemaker and homeschool mom, later sharing support and wisdom with her fellow homeschool parents. At home, Marcia was a quiet strength, providing endless amounts of love. She was an avid scrapbooker, reader, cook, baker, and speedwalker.
Marcia's deepest desire was to share the love of Christ with others. Her warm smile and gentle spirit greeted decades of Parish School of Religion and Good Shepherd children at St. Ladislas Church, where she faithfully led a long running Women's Bible Study of her peers. Over the years, Marcia mentioned many times how she was always ready to meet her Lord Jesus Christ. Marcia was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's Disease at the age of 59 and benefited greatly from the enrichment and support programs of the Alzheimer's Association and Carolyn L. Farrell Foundation. Although she only had a few years of recognition after her diagnosis, her face lit up when she interacted with her grandchildren. We will love her forever, and like her for always.
Many thanks to all of Marcia's wonderful caregivers over the years: Deb, Shar, Grace, Maryann, Griswold Home Care, Homewatch Caregivers, the Avon Oaks Caring Community staff and in her last days, the caregivers from Crossroads Hospice. Each and every caregiver and friend made Marcia's journey the last several years a little bit easier, and for that we are eternally thankful.
