MARGERY D. BODENHAMER

MARGERY D. BODENHAMER (née D’Amico), age 90, passed away on May 8, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late William Bodenhamer and a devoted mother to Bruce Bodenhamer and Carol Lavelle (Dan). She was a proud “Grandma Margie” to Justin, Cory, Jack, Joe, and Erin, and a loving great‑grandmother to Thea. She was the sister of Ales Kramhoeller and the beloved aunt of Erik, Andrea, and the late Kristine.

Margery earned her bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University, where she began a lifelong involvement with the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She went on to receive her master’s degree in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University. Margery dedicated 22 years as a social worker at Applewood Centers, where she worked in adoption and foster care and made a lasting impact on countless families and children.

Rocky River Presbyterian Church was an important part of Margery’s adult life. There she formed many close friendships and faithfully served as a Deacon, Elder, and a member of the Human Resources Committee.

Margery was an avid Cleveland sports fan, a lifelong lover of reading, and deeply valued time spent with family. In her retirement years, she focused on caring for her grandchildren and enjoying many travel adventures.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 11 AM at Rocky River Presbyterian Church, 21750 Detroit Rd., Rocky River, OH 44116. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Margery Bodenhamer can be made to the Rocky River Presbyterian Church or Affinity Care Hospice Foundation
