MARTIN WAYNE CONNORS, age 76, of Elyria, Ohio. Loving husband of Kathleen (nee Wolschleger). Father of Scott (Lee), Brett (Carrie), Daniel (Kimberly) , and Laureen (Renee). Son of the late Martin J. and Josephine (nee McGushin) and son-in-law of Richard and Irene Knight. Loving brother of Maureen Crumley (Edward, deceased), Jacqueline Nackowicz (Henry), Kevin (Loree), and Deborah O'Boyle (John "Pat"). Grandfather to nine: Jessica, Samantha, Danielle, Kyle, Ian, Kate, Patrick, Brendan, Casey. Uncle and great uncle of many.

Marty lived life to the fullest. He grew up in Cleveland attending Rhodes High School. In 1956, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served tours in Germany and Alaska as a Radar Technician and Disc Jockey. Upon leaving the service, he met and married Kay with whom he vibrantly shared the rest of his life (53 years). Marty worked in the Trades and retired a member of Pipefitter's Local 120 in 2000. Marty and Kay loved to motorcycle ride with friends and routinely attended their local Fitness Center. Marty was a true patriot and instilled a profound respect for country and service with his family and friends. He spent many years actively riding with and supporting the Rolling Thunder organization and absolutely rejoiced in his children's military and community service. He also found great joy in being his grandchildren's biggest fan. Marty was a loving and dedicated husband, father, brother and family patriarch who will be missed but remembered with respect and love by all who knew him.

Passed away March 11, 2015. Funeral Mass Monday, March 16, St. Patrick Church (West Park) at 9:30 A.M. Private interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR. AT PURITAS, SUNDAY 1-6 P.M.
