MARY JANE DAVIS (nee Kovacs) age 84 passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 26, 2025 after a several year illness. She was the beloved wife and best friend for over 53 years to James M.; loving mother of Michael; dear grandmother of Scott; mother-in-law of Melissa; cherished sister of Shirley McCowan and the late Barbara Allen; aunt, cousin, and friend of many.

Mary Jane lived a life centered on her Catholic faith and served as a Eucharistic Minister at several local churches, sang in choirs, and attended many bible classes with her sister Shirley. She would always share her love of Christ with others. She also enjoyed time with her family.

Mary Jane was born in Cleveland and was brought up on a 50 acre farm her father owned in Sheffield Village and always worked hard on the many farm duties growing up. She attended the Brookside School which was right next door to the farm. At home, Mary Jane had a hobby of setting up numerous photo albums. At work, she performed extensive bookkeeping and accounting for various employers, including the family business. Outside the home she enjoyed golfing, boating, fishing and of course travel. The family went to Walt Disney World at least a dozen times and also visited most of the national parks. Mary Jane and her trademark laugh will be missed.

Funeral Mass Thursday, July 31, St. Bernadette Church (2256 Clague Rd.) at 10:00 AM. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS WEDNESDAY 4-7 PM.
