MARY EILEEN CRONIGER

MARY EILEEN CRONIGER, age 65, entered the arms of Jesus on September 5, 2026 after a brief illness. Mary came into this world on June 20, 1961 as the first child of the late James D. and Patricia Ann Croniger (nee O’Donnell) and was soon joined by her siblings Colleen Croniger (Paul Nickels) and James P. Croniger (Laura). She brought three beloved children of her own into the world: Nicole Stuber (Dave), James Tusoch (Val), and Tony Tusoch (Tiffany) through her marriage to John Tusoch (deceased). Mary was also blessed to be the proud and loving grandmother of six: Kiera, David, and Amara Stuber and James and Enzo Tusoch, and Bella Paxson. She is also remembered by many cousins and friends. A devoted Catholic, Mary was a graduate of Regina High School as a member of the Class of 1979. As the daughter of Patricia Croniger, herself the daughter of immigrants from County Cork, Mary deeply embraced her Celtic heritage and even visited her ancestral homeland twice, once with her daughter Nicole and again with her sister Colleen. Perhaps out of deference to her father’s German heritage, she also visited Germany with friends. In retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandkids. At the time of her death, she had been a resident of Parma for several years. 

Mary’s life will be celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ladislas Church, 2345 Bassett Road in Westlake, Ohio on Tuesday, September 15 at 11 a.m. Friends are invited to gather at 10 a.m. in the church’s vestibule. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Avon, Ohio.
