MARY ELLEN BOLAND (nee Hever) age 85. Beloved wife of the late Augustine "Gus"; mother of Sean (the late Angela), Kevin, Augustin "Gus"; Martin, Maureen Loftus (Martin) and Jim (Kim); grandmother of Megan, John, Erin, Madelyn, Declan, Ellen, Nathan, Emma, Joe, Maya, Caitlin and Jimmy; daughter of the late Mary Ellen (nee Murphy) and Michael Hever of County Sligo, Ireland; sister of Patrick (Kathy) and the late Thomas; aunt and friend of many.

Mary Ellen was proud of her Irish heritage and has passed that love on to her children and eleven grandchildren. She was born and raised on the East Side in the St. Aloysius Parish and graduated from Ursuline High School. She was honored by the United Irish Society in 2007 as their Irish Mother of the Year.  She was a charter member of the Irish American Club East Side and a member of the West Side Irish American Club.  She spent over twenty years working for the City of Lakewood in the Office of Aging.

Passed away July 5, 2023. Funeral Mass Thursday, July 13, St. Luke the Evangelist Church (1212 Bunts Rd.) at 10:00 AM. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR. AT PURITAS WEDNESDAY 3-7 PM.
