MARY N. O'BOYLE (nee Kokal) (native of Bled, Slovenia, former Yugoslavia) age 78; beloved wife of the late Patrick J. "Pye" for 48 years; mother of Daniel (Joy) and Kathleen Walker (Ryan); proud grandmother of Aidan, Cullen, Silas and Nolan; daughter of the late Marija (nee Furjan) and Joseph Kokal; sister of Joe-deceased (Nada), Leon (Rita), Terry Laurie (Joe Noga), Margie Hudnell (Tom-deceased), and Andrej (Stephanie); beloved aunt, great aunt, and friend to many. Passed away September 23, 2022.

Mary was a proud Slovenian, having immigrated to the U.S. when she was five years old, and lived life to the fullest. She loved traveling, being in the water, skiing, the desert, animals, playing scrabble (sometimes even in her native language), reading, flying, making traditional Slovenian strudel, and spending time with her family.

Family was first on Mary's list and as the second of six siblings, she was instrumental in helping raise her younger brothers and sisters, later dedicating her life to her husband and two children of her own. Mary was an exceptional mother and loved being a mom! She enjoyed volunteering at her kids' schools and supporting her children in any way that she could. She taught Danny and Kathleen the importance of family and instilled those values in them. She was so loving, caring, giving, thoughtful, and generous. Her presence simply put smiles on others' faces.

Mary will be dearly missed by many. A Celebration of Life will be held for Mary in Florida later this year. Details will be shared with family and friends.
