MARY PATEK (nee O'Donnell), age 75, beloved wife of the late Daniel W.; loving mother of Katie (fiancée A.J. Haas) and Danny (Emily); proud grandmother of Quinn and Kelly; daughter of the late Mary (nee Ryder) and William O'Donnell; sister of William O'Donnell (Cathy) and Thomas-deceased (Rosemary); beloved aunt, great aunt, cousin and dear friend of many. Passed away peacefully August 3, 2023.

Mary was first generation in America, born of Irish immigrants. She was very proud of her Irish heritage, and was involved in the Mayo Society of Cleveland, as well as the East and West side Irish American Clubs. She loved Irish music, and never missed an opportunity to sing and dance. Her children fondly remember listening to Quinn Irish Radio every Sunday and learning steps to Shoe the Donkey and the Waltz with her in the kitchen.  Visiting her loved ones in Mayo, Ireland held some of her fondest memories.

Mary loved her family with all her heart, they were the center of her universe. She cherished friends, and many will remember how the Patek's door was always open, no matter the time of day. Visitors knew they would be greeted with a warm smile, have food and drink forced upon them, and be surrounded by laughter. Mary loved to host a St. Patrick's Day dinner, and the Christmas day parties were legendary throughout the land.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for Mary's Funeral Mass Saturday, August 26, Ss. Robert & William Church, 367 E. 260th St. Euclid, OH. 44132 at 10:30 A.M. A reception will follow the Mass at The East Side Irish American Club.  Interment will be private at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Solon.  Memorial contributions are suggested to The Little Brothers and Sisters of the Eucharist, 3675 W. 165th St. Cleveland, OH. 44111.
