MARY ANN WINCHESTER (nee Prusak) died peacefully on May 28, 2025, aged 82. She had a large loving family, who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Starling and Walter Prusak, son John Patrick Winchester, and brother Steven Prusak.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband of nearly 61 years, John Joseph Winchester, Junior. Together they had seven children: John (deceased) (Megan, spouse Tom Wolke), Matthew (Marette), Brian (Mary), Sarah (David McClure), Peter (Mary), Andrew (Kara), and Margaret (Toby Reiner) and fourteen grandchildren: Kevin, Hannah, Erin, Seamus, Shannon, Alexandra, Nicholas, Grace, Ryan, Molly, Anna, Jack, Owen, and Emily. Mary Ann loved hosting holidays and family get-togethers at their home in Cleveland Heights.
Born and raised in Cleveland, she attended Saint Joseph Academy, Saint John College of Nursing, and later, Cleveland State University. She was a devoted nurse for nearly 40 years, many of those as a school nurse in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. She was an active volunteer with University Hospitals, Communion of Saints parish, and the Fairmount Garden Club. In her free time, Mary Ann was a keen gardener, an artist, and a writer.
