MAURICE E. HAND passed away on Friday May 21, 2010. Born in Hoboken N.J. on Nov. 17, 1915. Beloved husband of 67 years to the late Kathleen (nee Hegarty); father of Dolores and Gregory; grandfather of Katey and Tyler; dear friend of many. As part of a civilian construction firm he was sent to Ireland during WWII to build military installations around Derry, N. Ireland. His next stop was Honolulu to rebuild after Pearl Harbor. After the war he and his wife settled in Cleveland where he joined Sheet Metal Workers Union 65 (now 33) in 1946. In 1981 they retired to Florida and Maurice enjoyed many years as Chaplin and PER with the Elks of Palm Beach. For the past 4 years he lived happily at the Normandy of Rocky River. Funeral Mass Monday May 24 St. Angela Merici Church (20970 Lorain Rd.) at 10:00 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR.
