At approximately 12:40 AM on October 6th, 2026, Melissa Ann Lambert peacefully passed into the next life.
She was taken off life support Monday at 8:30 PM and she did not go until her children and mother had left the hospital.
Melissa is survived by her two sons Robert O. Lambert and Nathaniel S. Lambert; her loving mother Margaret Huttinger; her siblings John (Enrique) Schultz, Laura Lopilato, Mark (Carol Ann) Schultz , Lisa (Alex) Schultz, Craig Schultz; Husband Robert C. Lambert; Nieces and Nephews Konnor, Chris, Lola, John, Danielle, Kasey, Michael, Logan, Nick, Marcus, Dominic, Braylen, Maya, Wayne, River, and Meadow; Aunt Mary (Adolph); Uncles Bobby (Karen), and Jim; and many other cherished family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her Grandfather Robert O. Gilchrist, Grandmother Mary Gilchrist, Aunt Cathy, Uncle Jack, Father Lee Schultz and Parents-in-Law Robert A. Lambert and Brenda King.
Melissa touched countless lives and formed lasting friendships with people who became like family through her involvement in Scouts, Marching Band, Wrestling, Taekwondo, and her work.
Melissa is finally free of pain and has found peace. Her final day was spent with what felt like a hundred friends and family members coming in and out of the hospital throughout the day. The day was spent around her with laughter, tears, and reminiscing of old memories while also creating some new/final memories.
Melissa was born and raised in North Olmsted. Growing up she loved to dance and spend time with friends.
She loved musical artists like Elvis Presley, The Monkees, and Toby Keith. You couldn’t keep her away from movies like A Nightmare on Elm Street, Christmas Vacation, Dirty Dancing, Grease and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
As an adult she enjoyed doing karaoke and line dancing with Mama Fran and Deja vu Entertainment.
She was a member of the North Olmsted High School Class of 1999 and while she was in school, she was a member of the North Olmsted High School Eagles Marching Band where she played the Tuba. She was the smallest person in the band but played the biggest instrument.
On June 11th, 2005, she married her Husband Robert C. Lambert and over a year later on October 25th, 2006, she gave birth to her oldest Robert O. Lambert. On October 31st, 2009, she gave birth to her second and youngest child Nathaniel S. Lambert.
Over her life she was a cashier, waitress, noon aide, and lunch lady. But the most important role in her life was being a mother.
Whatever her boys did she invested herself 100% into that. She did Taekwondo with her boys and she went on to become a black belt.
During her boy's childhood a lot of time was put into Scouting. In Cub Scouts she was a den leader in Pack 153. During this time Boy Scouts of America became Scouts BSA as they welcomed in girls into Boy Scout Troops. For girls to be in a Boy Scout Troop they needed a Woman Scoutmaster and that is where she stepped up. Though Melissa did not have daughters of her own, she found a special place in her heart for the girls of Troop 664G.
She got to make tons of memories and relationships that lasted till the day she died.
Whether it was Taekwondo, Scouts, Baseball, Basketball, Band, or Wrestling, she always wanted to be a part of her children’s activities.
Melissa took every opportunity to be a part of her children’s lives sharing their experiences and creating memories that would be cherished and last forever. While doing so she not only made friends she became a parent figure for a lot of people. She had her children’s back no matter what, through every bump in the road through life, Melissa was there for her boys.
Melissa was extra proud when her boys joined the North Olmsted High School Marching Band as they carried on their mom’s tuba legacy. Alumni Night was always her favorite as she got to play again and share the field with her boys.
The number of memories with NOBOB members are endless, always razzle dazzling and drinking Wendy’s Coke. The people she met through band and every other activity her boy’s were involved not only became friends but they became family who were always there for her.
Melissa opened a flea market booth with her boys which led to meeting people connected to MEGA Championship Wrestling. She encouraged her oldest son to pursue his dream of Pro Wrestling and when the time was right, she gave her youngest the go ahead to go pursue his dream as well. She became a fixture herself at MEGA Championship Wrestling gaining the nickname “Mama Yoder”. She was every wrestler’s biggest fan sitting front and center every Thursday Night and at college events she would sit where she would be the first person you saw as you walked out the curtain. You wouldn’t believe the smile on her face when She got to see her oldest son Robert aka Yoder win the Brass Knuckles Championship in February of this year. Nate is also now training to wrestle and working at MEGA and as the bell ringer for all the big events. Nate will one day make his debut, and I know she will have the best seat in the house.
To All of her Wrestling, Band/NOBOB/Razzle Dazzle/TKD/Sporting and Scouting Families, Thank You for Giving her an Amazing Life.
You fought until the very end. We have it from here and we’ll see you on the other side.
Melissa (Mom) We Love You.
